BIOGRAPHY
Joy is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a doctoral candidate in Applied Behavior Analysis at Baekseok University in Korea. She holds two master’s degrees: one in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Alberta in Canada and another in Special Education from Dankook University in Korea. Her academic training and professional experience are grounded in evidence-based practices for supporting children with developmental disabilities and their families.

Joy specializes in caregiver-implemented interventions, with a particular focus on enhancing social communication, reducing challenging behaviors, and strengthening parent–child interactions in naturalistic settings. She has extensive experience providing clinical services, parent training, and professional development to families and practitioners across educational and community-based contexts.

She is a certified provider of Triple P Stepping Stones and PEERS® for Preschoolers, and she holds Level 1 Credentialing in the Practical Functional Assessment and Skills-Based Treatment (PFA/SBT) model. In addition, she is currently undergoing formal training to become a facilitator of the World Health Organization’s Caregiver Skills Training (WHO-CST) program. Her research and practice are driven by a strong commitment to empowering parents as primary agents of change and to promoting accessible, culturally responsive, and sustainable intervention models for families of children with developmental disabilities.
